(More customer reviews)this is a great little laser for a good price.it really comes in handy when transferring lines to the ceiling.i haven't used it for a horizontal line yet.I have a rotating auto laser for that.
You won't regret buying this laser. It does what it says it will do and auto levels manually, not electronically, so less to worry about breaking in the future.

The CST-Berger LaserMark self-leveling 3-beam laser plumb bob is designed to create an accurate, highly visible up-and-down plumb reference with a front view 90-degree reference beam instantly -- at the touch of a button. The MP3 features a unique magnetically dampened leveling system that settles the plumb bob up to 20 times faster than conventional methods, so it's ideal for a variety of uses, including stud, conduit and plumbing alignment, ceiling, joist and rafter alignment, and transferring points from floor to ceiling.
Packed with features, the MP3 gives you a highly focused accuracy of 1/4-inch at 100 feet, plus a flashing "out-of-level" sensor that eliminates rechecks and costly errors, plus built-in magnets that quickly mount the laser instrument to metal surfaces. It has an easy-access battery compartment and a 1/4-20 thread mounting base. Tough on the jobsite, the MP3 resists dirt, water, and dust for a long life and real reliability.
