(More customer reviews)The 18v Bosch Cordless drill is the best in its class. yes better than Makita, DeWalt, Ryobi..pound for pound and dollar for dollar.It is the best all around cordless for drilling or screwing.It will do it (lots of torque)all day long (Blue Core is noticeably better than their regular) with no need for a recharge.It isn't the best hanging a whole house in drywall in a day (you should get a corded screw gun for that) Nor is it the best at hammer drilling lots of big deep holes in concrete (you should get a corded hammer drill for that) Nonetheless, the drill alone in this combo kit is worth it. The Jig Saw is as stong and smooth.. just as good or better than the two Bosch corded saws i own.In fact it is simpler and easier to use than my corded ones. No cord to tangle sitting there and No cord to catch while scrolling through wood.

At this point i could go into specifics and amaze you with comparative analysis and tell you all the tools i have used commercially since 1980 but i would rather use my tools than write reviews so for you first time buyer you just need the "bottomline."You won't regret it.. you won't go wrong with this tool and it will last you years and years of usage, including dropping and beating.

My bottomline advice, however, would be to determine if you could'nt use a couple more tools and upgrade to the 4, 5 or 6 piece kits.The more pieces included in the combo, the price drops significantly per piece.And the best advice i can give you is to consider The CPO Bosch reconditioned tools through Amazon.They are as good as "new" and are a great value.
