(More customer reviews)The original "Tapcon" branded kits still made in the USA--the Condrive 500 and 1000 (approximate street prices of $20-$40USD respectively)don't include the most important element for some, THE DRILL BIT{s}, in either kit!

While the Bosch branded version is a mix of Taiwan, German, and Mexican components [the drill bits and screw bits are German], at the average street price of $35-40USD includes two 7 inch SDS+ drill bits, the longest "Tapcon" version bits of the smallest diameters available by *any* manufacturer!

The fit and finish are good but there is some play unless you focus solely and carefully on fitting the bit into the sleeve, a far cry from Bosch's spectacular Clic-Change system.

While the Tapcon versions both provide a nifty hardshell dedicated plastic case, Bosch's version includes a somewhat generically designed zippered cloth pouch.Unfortunately, being dedicated, the Tapcon version only provides space for apparently very short drill bits while the Bosch version can accomodate their longest, small diameter drill bits.

One thing [maybe two] missing from the Bosch kit is a dedicated square drive head or two to go with their included #2 & #3 stubby phillips bits.

The Tapcon Condrive500tm works with both 3/16 and 1/4 hex-head fasteners without the use of additional attachments such as the Condrive 1000tm and Bosch.

So, although not as versatile as Tapcon's most complete kit [the Condrive1000tm] and not the most perfect in every way [neither versions are], the Bosch version with two not-so-cheap and very long(7") SDS+ German-made, carbide-tipped drill bits will present the best and perhaps the most complete bargain for many users.
