Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)The depth adjustment was stuck on the first unit.Either a minor manufacturing defect or it happened in handling. No biggie; I'm expecting a replacement later today.
I used the compressor to control depth of drive and installed about 800-feet of base and door moldings - around 1800 nails, 3/4-inch to 2-and-a-half inches, without a hitch even after bending a few 2-and-a-half inch fasteners into perfect "U" shapes when I hit a framing nail, there was never a jam, never a misfire, and never a problem.
Drove all but a handful of fasteners without using the no-mar tip and left no surface marks. These were painted moldings, and I would use the tip on stained millwork, just to be safe.
It is definitely not 20% smaller than competing units, but it is at least 20% more narrow than any of it's couterparts except (maybe) the new Paslode angled nailer. It allowed me to get into the tight corners without assuming a yoga position.
It seems to have less bounce than other 16-guage nailers. Not a lot less, but noticeable.
16-guage is a good compromise for those of us who do not own or do not want a 15-guage, 16-guage, 18-guage and 23-guage nailer hanging around. The Bosch works well at 60 psi with 3/4 inch nails, and I used it with fairly delicate 5/8 pine and white oak crown moldings from the big-box store without damaging the wood.If I were working on cabinetry, I would definitely want a smaller nailer, but this Bosch is a good compromise.
Four stars because it is too pricey.I'm glad I got it; and happy to replace the damaged/defective one with the same model, but really, for what you get, it costs too much.
There is no oil in the case, only a single no-mar tip, no practice nails, and not even a hose connector. And following a trend, the manual is mostly safety CYA's with very little additional information.
I recommend this nailer, with a caveat: there are less costly alternatives that are nearly as good.

This nailer is part of a new line of Bosch tools, which utilize Full-Force Technology to consistently drive nails flush, even in industrial lumber. This revolutionary engineering works without return chambers that add bulk and weight and create wasted energy on the strike.
When the trigger is pulled on the FNS250-16, air drives the piston down the cylinder. As the piston strikes, air is exhausted out the front of the tool for 100-percent air power and no wasted energy.
Angled Design for Hard-to-Reach Areas and Tight Corners
Thanks to its angled design, the FNS250-16 can get into tighter areas and more narrow spaces than other nailers. It's great for building cabinets, performing trim jobs, hanging doors, running baseboard or crown, installing railing, and much more.
Big Power in a Small Package
Measuring 2.88 x 9.94 x 10.25 inches (WxHxL) and weighing just 3.5 pounds, the FNS250-16 is 20% smaller than other compact angled nailers on the market. Its slim body and narrow nose provide you with an excellent line of sight and optimum control, even on heavy-duty jobs. This nailer also offers plenty of power; an operating range of 60-120 psi drives 1.0- to 2.5-inch 16-gauge nails and ensures that none are left standing.
Tool-Less Operation for Ease-of-Use
The FNS250-16 offers the ease of straightforward, tool-less operation. With this handy nailer you can make adjustments to the air exhaust, fine-tune the depth of drive, clear out jams with the quick-clear function, and switch between bump and sequential firing with the selectable trigger--all without the need for a wrench or additional tools.
An added bonus, no-mar tip storage means everything you need to complete your work is always close at hand.
Prevents Tool Damage
To help ensure long-term, reliable use, the FNS250-16 boasts a dry fire lock-out, which prevents damage to the workpiece and the tool's internal components by eliminating blank firing. Additionally, this nailer comes equipped with an inline self-cleaning air filter that keeps debris away from the valve and O-ring, preventing wear, tear, and compromised performance.
The FNS250-16 comes with a one-year unconditional warranty.
