(More customer reviews)I've purchased this and put it on my router and did some plunge routing.70 % of the chips were captured and the clean-up was considerably less.I also noticed that my dust mask seemed to plug up less.It apparently get the fine dust too.For the cost it's worth the effort.The black hose adapter converts the hose from metric to english.I would recommend that you convert to a larger hose fairly quickly because the small hose cause a significant loss in vacumm the longer it is.

The RA1172AT Dust Extraction Hood Kit includes all items necessary to for use with 1617 and 1618 series fixed-base routers. It includes a dust extraction hood for use on flat surfaces, as well as a hood for edgeforming. Also included is a vacuum adapter for connection to 1-1/4-inch, 1-1/2-inch and 35mm hoses. Tool-free mounting hardware is also included for each hood.
